Lake Tashmoo encore

In my earlier blog entries I wrote that Janet and I spend the last few days of our vacation on Martha’s Vineyard. So, of course, we went to our favorite harbor on the Island: Lake Tashmoo.

The picture above was taken on Friday after we anchored on the far side of the harbor across from the town docks. As you can see, there were no other boats near us at anchor. By Saturday mid-day we were surrounded by other crusing sailboats.

Above, Galatea is at anchor in Tashmoo. We took this picture as we headed off for the town beach at the entrance to the harbor. As you can see, we had the place to ourselves. Also, if you look carefully, you can see our new sun awning. As soon as we get anywhere, that awning goes right up to protect us from the sun.
